I would always get the G and J letter names mixed up and end up being called “Ganet” instead of “Janet”. Anyone learning the French language will come across the French Alphabet at some stage.

Letter NAMES is what the French alphabet is all about. It’s a representation of all the French letters and their names, not necessarily their sounds.

Take the letter H for example, in French words, this letter has no sound – ever! But the letter H does have a name and this can be heard by clicking the letter H in the table below. Some of the letter names might represent a French sound but unfortunately the alphabet does not contain all the French sounds. It is a good place to start though.
